Heather Dods

Dance Division Instructor

Heather Dods is from Dallas, Texas and started her dance training at Chamberlain Performing Arts under the direction of Kathy Chamberlain. She also trained at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she graduated with academic honors and departmental high honors. After high school, Heather continued her training at Adelphi University in New York where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Psychology. At Adelphi, Heather performed in pieces by Jiří Kylián, Martha Graham, Orion Duckstein, and classical works staged by Frank Augustyn. During her senior year, Heather was selected to represent Adelphi at the American College Dance Association Northeast Regional Conference and danced in their Gala Performance. Heather has attended summer intensives at Ballet Austin, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Boca Ballet Theatre. Heather started her professional dance career with Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet and currently dances with Ballet North Texas as one of their founding members.
