Jordan Jones-Cleaver

Music Division Instructor

Jordan Jones-Cleaver began studying cello at 8 under the private instruction of Dallas Symphony Orchestra cellist Mimi McShane. A graduate of the famed Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. After receiving a full scholarship she went on to study cello performance at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Now using the name Jones, she has performed with the Dallas and Atlanta Symphony Orchestras. Jordan also opened at the Dallas House of Blues for funk legend George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. She has performed for Prince Edward of England and former Prime Minister Tony Blair, and has toured with the pop duo “The Veronicas.” Most recently, Jordan has been teaching with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and took part in the visuals of Solange’s most recent, critically acclaimed Art Movie “When I Get Home”.

Jordan has also delved into education and has found joy in teaching performing arts to students of all ages. She thrived at the opportunity to create and implement early childhood music curriculums and has been able to teach them at schools all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Starting from 3 months to high school, she has molded and perfected this curriculum to ensure that students comprehend music theory concepts and performing arts in a fun, approachable environment. Jordan offers private, group and classroom lessons for instrumental, voice and theory students. She hopes to continue to use her gift and reach more students with every new opportunity that comes her way.
