Dance Division Instructor
Kenna Kosh is a lively and vibrant artist who impacts her community through teaching dance. She received a BFA in Dance and a BA in Political Science from Southern Methodist University. Last season, she was a company member with Ballet North Texas and performed lead roles such as Chinese Tea in The Nutcracker and Le Travail in Coppelia. She is proficient in ballet, contemporary ballet, and modern dance and has trained under renowned teachers such as Myra Woodruff and Leslie Peck. Kenna has performed in contemporary ballet works set by Desmond Richardson, Adam Hougland, and Robert Dekkers, and has choreographed contemporary ballet works for the Brown Bag Dance Series and Blessed Trinity Catholic School.
Additionally, Kenna uses dance to positively impact her global communities. She has traveled to Rwanda with the NGO MindLeaps to teach dance to refugees and street children. She also has traveled to Panama to teach dance to orphans with the NGO Movement Exchange. Next year, she will be teaching dance at the Refugee Services of Texas. Dance is a powerful tool to develop self-esteem and to inspire and integrate communities. Kenna Kosh uses this art form to uplift her students and their families.
